Enjoying these posts. Dewhurst does look too cheap but the spread % (plus my own lack of understanding on which share class to buy) has been a barrier for me. Thanks

Thanks Andrew. Regarding the A or O or shares, the A shares don't have voting rights but get the same dividend and trade at a lower price. So we get a bigger dividend yield if we buy the A's, but we give up an important right (and the automatic right to attend the AGM). The spread between the A's and O's changes, so with a trading hat on it might be possible to exploit that. I've never tried. I just split my investment across both, to get my rights, and some of the juicier yield. Good point about the spread on either class of share. You're going to take an immediate hit. You have to believe it will be worth it in the long run.

Thanks for the clarification Richard, I will spend some more time researching them more thoroughly. Regards, Andrew

B Corp is something I actively look for and helps in my decision making. It's not the only metric but as I enter my 6th decade it's becoming more important to me that I try and reduce the harm I cause. Enjoying the blogs 👍

Thanks Murray. Good to hear. There's a review of a book called Capitalism and Crises in last weekend's FT. Touches on this. You might find it interesting.
